absolutely incompetent office staff have messed up my online prescriptions being delivered to where nominated for the last year, it seems that there is a policy to make it hard for patients to get there prescriptions from anywhere except the on premises chemist, if this problem persists i will be making a formal complaint

I have seen a lot of the doctors in the surgery and have always felt that I have received the best care in these regards but I have had a lot of issues with the receptionists. I find them to be rude, unhelpful and they try to get the phone calls finished quickly but without resolution. Trying to get through on the telephone to get an appointment is diabolical. It has taken me up to 96 attempts in the past. Also I once requested a female GP and was told there were no appointments available with a female GP. When I insisted I needed to see a female GP the receptionist asked why. I told her that I would discuss that with the GP. She again said there were no appointments unless I tell her what the appointment was for. When I told her it was in regards to a lump in my genital region she offered me an appointment in an hours time! That changed drastically! I think the reception staff could do with attending some customer service courses. I know there have been complaints previously but i have been with the surgery at least 10 years and if anything the reception staff just keep getting worse.

When my father was in the last stages of his life (he died just short of his hundredth birthday) he received excellent care from the surgery. This included home visits (we don't live far from the surgery - but even so). Receptionist and telephone staff were consistently helpful. My only personal reservation is about the difficulty of booking routine appointments - medication review and so forth.

Receptionists are extremely rude. It’s as if they’re taking their hate and anger out on patients. If you don’t like your job don’t work there, it’s that simple. If you ask a question you will receive attitude. They’re supposedly receptionists but don’t want to do their job. It is literally impossible to get an appointment. I’ve tried calling 5 days in a row now for one and still cannot get one. The doctors themselves are lovely and helpful however the triage nurse is just rude. The only reason why I’m still signed up is because of how nice the doctors are but I try to avoid going as much as I can because of how rude the receptionists are. Not like I can get an appointment any way. My advice to the surgery is to remove all receptionists and hire ones who are actually kind and like doing their job. I understand that NHS staff do get abused a lot and I am never a difficult person. However these receptionists get on even my nerves.
